One of the main aims of Artcycling is to facilitate the access to professional oportunities to artists from underrepresented groups, especially those having mental health challenges. We are testing a new business model to create a transnational cooperative of artcyclers (artists) based on the creative reuse and inclusive art.
Artcycling wants also to provide the artcyclers with skills for social entrepreneurship, social and fiscal independence, as well as ICT skills for the design of new works of arts. Thus, these artists are receiving specific training.
Art can be a useful tool to fight against stigma and discrimination and to provoke critical thinking on general society on issues as for instance social and environmental challenges.
Thanks to this initiative, these artists are offered with the opportunity to operate transnationally and to be in contact with artists in other European countries.
